School Sports Education Program
The Sports Education Programme (SEP) is a joint initiative by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and the Ministry of Education (MOE). Through SEP Singapore, schools receive a dollar-for-dollar matching grant of $10,000 to participate in sports programmes selected from an approved list. The SEP is designed to emphasise the importance of sports education, promote participation in schools, and expand sporting opportunities for youth.

As a certified school sports events provider, United Skates is proud to have our Skateboard Coaching programme endorsed under the SEP. These programmes undergo rigorous evaluation by a panel of experts, including representatives from the SSC, MOE, schools, sports educators, and industry professionals, ensuring they meet the criteria for SEP endorsement. This thorough assessment guarantees that schools have access to high-quality, safe, and well-structured programmes, with the added benefit of eligibility for funding support.
United Skates seeks to integrates the principles of skate culture — creativity, resilience, community and peer-led learning — into the education frameworks of Singapore schools through our Skateboard Coaching Program, officially endorsed under the Sports Education Programme (SEP), a joint initiative by Sport Singapore and the Ministry of Education.
Our structured coaching program is built around these powerful principles, going beyond tricks to focus on lifelong skills. Students learn coordination and movement, build confidence through personal expression, and develop resilience by taking safe risks in a supportive environment.
Sessions foster social awareness, teamwork, and peer encouragement while inspiring a progression mindset and goal-setting habits. We work closely with schools, community centres, and families to tailor each program to the needs of every learner, ensuring inclusivity and age-appropriate progression. All sessions are led by certified coaches who prioritise emotional and physical safety, creating a positive and empowering space for every child to thrive.
